  • Mental health concerns among athletes continue to be on the rise in recent years.

    In a recent study by the NCAA, many athletes reported feeling overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, sleep difficulties, sadness, loneliness, and hopeless. Depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts are often common among athletes.

    Athletes are typically high preforming individuals who feel the pressure to be the best at everything they do. This stress can take a toll on your mental health, relationships, and work. As an athlete, we spend so much of our lives going to practice, games, and team events that often it is difficult to imagine ourselves without the game. Such a loss in identity and structure can cause an extreme amount of stress and instability in our lives.

I have worked with semi-professional, professional, Olympic, college, and high school athletes in order to improve their mental health. Together we will look at the issues that are presenting themselves in your life and focus on where you want to get to. We will discuss what your goals are going forward and how to meet them. We will also discuss anxiety, depression, stress or any other things that have gotten in the way of you achieving your goals.
